Summer Youth Employees 2004
Dyckman Youth Enterprises Inc. is a non-profit organization that motivates adolescents from all walks of life using athletics as a catalyst to help address the needs of its constituents in areas of youth leadership, academic readiness, recreation and employment.

The goal of the organization is to give inner-city youth a hope for a better tomorrow by teaching them to utilize what they learn from their athletic experiences as a model to help their overall academic, social, and career development

To date, our most successful event is the Dyckman Basketball Tournament one of the most highly attended summer-long street basketball leagues in New York City & employing over 25 community minded-youth, facilitating scholastic opportunities, while offering recreational activities and enjoyable entertainment for Participants / attendees of all ages.

We are proud to acknowledge that since the inception of the program, murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, and grand larceny in the 15th congressional district have all dropped an average of 67% (NYPD COMPUSTAT UNIT). The program has been featured in the media on numerous occasions including ESPN's The Life, Amsterdam News, BRONXNET cable channel 67, and FOX 5's Morning Show.
